Social Responsibility

IEFM Philippines is committed to fulfilling its social responsibility and endeavours to act in respect of its mission, fundamental values and quality assurance policy.

In 2009, the company developed a code of conduct on which we base the continuous improvement of our practices. At the same time, IEFM Philipines implemented initiatives to reduce its use of polluting materials and contribute to the welfare of the community.

Environmental Practices

In 2008, IEFM Group discontinued the use of hydrocarbons for conducting emergency response practices. The company’s installations are now designed to use less polluting combustibles such as paraffin and propane gas. Paraffin has properties similar to those of hydrocarbons while being 80% degradable within 30 days and 100% degradable within 60 days. The company has also launched initiatives to reduce its consumption of paper and encourage recycling.

Putting our expertise and know-how to good use

As one of the leading training institutions in the country, IEFM Philippines closely with national organizations when disasters occur. For example, in 2007, the institution’s experts were called upon to help fight an underground fire.
